The establishment of the Jewish state in 1948 does not fit the requirements of the return according to Biblical prophecy.
One of the lessons to be learned in their sojourn in a distant land was that they were to be God’s ambassadors to spread true religion throughout the earth.
Although staunchly liberal in his views, he has had some significant accomplishments for the cause of Christ in the political realm.
When is “the day” that will see the fulfillment of his prophecies? Biblical commentators are not agreed on this.
It is interesting that biblical commentaries cannot decide whether Oriental nations are Japhetic or Hamitic, and some even claim the Japanese are Semitic!
The British royal family has been traced in an unbroken line back to King David of Israel, and the throne is sacrosanct by divine decree. God’s divine promises cannot be abrogated by man.
What is this fullness of the “Gentiles” (Greek: ethnos=nations) that would herald a redeemed Israel accepting their Messiah? Young’s Literal Translation renders it, “till the fulness of the nations may come in.”
The Bible compares the wicked to a lion: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
It is both interesting and significant that for centuries the original homeland of the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic peoples was also said to be in what is now Armenia.
