World Alterations

Mankind is witnessing the failure of another of the experiments in ordering the earth according to the ideas of men, which ignore the vital differences of law, idealism, tradition, and temperament in races. Men are seeking to establish peace and stability by collective council and action, but events are again proving the futility of human efforts, however noble the idealism, apart from God. Whether it be war or economic  crisis which finally ends this experiment matters little; for present day events viewed in the light of Scripture establish the fact that the winding up of mankind’s period of experimenting is near at hand, and that soon one central authority (Zechariah 14:9), one system of law (Isaiah 2:2-4), one outlook (Daniel 2:35,44), will be the lot of mankind. Then the vital differences will have disappeared, and peace with security will be the keynote of civilization (Micah 4). Many people ask: What should be Britain’s attitude in these days? The Scriptures reveal the answer (Jeremiah 31; Ezekiel 36).
