Rev. Dr. Kenneth Kemble has been a minister for over thirty years. Being the son of a minister, he grew up in church, and felt the calling of God upon his life at an early age. He has preached to interested groups all across the country, as well as numerous tours to Canada and overseas. He has spoken to churches of just about every Protestant denomination, led numerous Bible studies in homes, has preached at camps, on television and radio, and has even preached from a loft in a barn. He pastors a congregation in south Texas, and makes several preaching trips each year. He gives all praise, honour and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for anything good that comes as a result of His efforts.
Democracy means that the people rule — a government of the people, by the people and for the people — but, without wanting to sound unpatriotic, I would like to suggest that democracy is only good if the people are good — and sadly, here in America, as well as in the other many nations of Israel, that is increasingly NOT the case. In the past generation especially, we have become more and more corrupt, and are now morally bankrupt.
In Exodus chapter 20 and Deuteronomy chapter 5, we read the commandments of God. These Commandments are the foundation of God’s Law, and of our culture, and in the keeping of them, we find great reward.
The Bible makes it clear that God has a people that He has chosen to be His very own. They are His special treasure and the apple of His eye. He has set His love upon them above all the other peoples of the earth. That people is Israel.
Have you ever heard someone say that they heard from God? I certainly believe that it can happen. The Bible says that the LORD doesn’t change, so what He did in Bible days, He can still do today. But sometimes people think they’ve heard from God when they really have not heard from Him at all, but have been deceived.
So dear reader, when you are overwhelmed, don’t fret. Go to the source of all power and all blessing and beg Him bid your storm to cease. Then just watch what happens.
The Word of God assures us that with Him, we will soar high above the cares of this world, and they will seem as nothing as we look at the big picture. We need only to TRUST HIM. “Ye have seen what I did . . . and how I bare you on eagles’ wings and brought you unto myself.” (Exodus 19:4)
Here is a good rule to follow. If they lift up and exalt anyone or anything other than our Lord Jesus Christ, then we know that the Lord is far from them.

After we have come to the end of ourselves, and are tired of our miserable state, we can go to the Father, just as Dorian Gray did in the end, and ask Him to forgive us and cleanse us of the vile filth that only we and the Almighty know is there. And when we do, He will hear us, and in His grace, He will forgive and restore.
