Ephraim and Manasseh; Are They Waking Up?
“And I shall give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth… And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also Our Lord was crucified… And after three days and a half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them…”
Rev 11 v 3/7/8 & 11
I am not saying that Ephraim (Britain) and Manasseh (America) are in fact the two witnesses mentioned in Revelations, but the death of and the awakening of these symbolises perfectly the situation with God’s Israel people. For there was a time when Britain and America proclaimed God’s Truth to the world. Missionaries were sent out throughout the world to spread the news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ – Son of Almighty God. We were truly Christian nations.
But then all of this ceased, and our Christianity and link with the Most High God, was cast aside for worldly things, and lay dead in the streets. Indeed, even now this is still pretty much the same. However – it seems things are happening – little rumbles of events that indicate, to me at least, that people are stirring, waking from their sleep.
Many of us have been praying over the years for God’s people to wake up and turn back to Him, and the Lord does hear our prayers, so let us be encouraged to continue with them.
America has been very much in the news of late, and the assassination of the Christian Charlie Kirk in particular hit the headlines. Now I had not heard of Charlie, but apparently, he had a huge following of young people, and via social media over here in the UK also. He would go to Universities in the States and speak to young people – those who would oppose him – to state his case for Jesus Christ and the Gospel. In other words, he preached not just to the converted, but to the unconverted.
This young man of 31 years made me think that over 2,000 years ago, another young man, aged 33, was crucified for bringing news of the Kingdom of His Father in heaven. He was Jesus Christ. And a short time before that, John the Baptist – a similar age, was also executed for preaching God’s Word.
We know from Jesus’ words that the spirit of Elijah was upon John. I wonder if it rested also upon Charlie Kirk. In which case, will this be a catalyst for Elijah’s spirit to touch the souls of many and is this fuelling a resurgence in the awakening of many young people to turn to the Lord? Many are apparently showing an interest in going to Church – but do we have any True Shepherds to guide them? Or are they all Wolves in Sheep’s clothing? Could things change in this respect also?
The memorial service for Charlie Kirk was attended by many members of the US government, including President Donald Trump. In particular, Tulsi Gabbard and equally impressively, Vice President JD Vance, both gave a very good witness to Jesus Christ, with their tribute to Charlie. Is there hope here for America, and the American people?
Here in the UK we have seen a great exhibition of flag flying. The Union Jack and the English Flag in particular. A huge march on London by thousands of people, all waving their banners, and in particular, one young man was captured on video , climbing upon a Lion statue on Westminster Bridge, not just to wave his flag, but to also hold aloft, a wooden cross.
The red cross from the England/St George flag has been daubed in many public places, including on the historic white horse in Wiltshire. This made me think that this red cross that symbolises the blood of Our Lord, shed for us all at the crucifixion – appearing everywhere – is rather like the daubing of a lamb’s blood on the lintels and sides of the doors of our Israelite ancestors in Egypt, to protect them when the Angel of Death flew over the land, the last of the plagues upon Pharaoh before he allowed the Israelites to leave. Is this perhaps an antidote to ‘the mark of the beast’?
Then we also had MP Danny Kruger, witnessing to the Lord in the Houses of Parliament. Not many MPs there, but a great audience over the internet. Danny was urging the Nation to return to its Christian roots. Incidentally, this MP has now joined Nigel Farage’s Reform Party.
People on both sides of the Atlantic do seem to be stirring from their slumber. Not our leaders, sadly, they still seem firmly entrenched on the side of the Globalists, Deep State, or whatever. But ordinary people are standing up, speaking out, and attempting to make themselves heard.
Finally, President Donald Trump paid the UK a visit. Instead of Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family welcomed him to Windsor Castle. I feel this was much better than BP (which is apparently undergoing renovations). Windsor has a wonderful history, and I would like to just share with you an excerpt from an article by my husband Allan, from 1992 on the subject:
“The most sacred sites of the Druids, whose motto was ‘The Truth against the World’, were the holy mounds known as Gorsedds. These were their temples and fortresses combined, where mingled the streams of Earth and Heaven. Many were known by the name Winton, Win meaning white or holy; Ton a sacred mound. The most easily recognisable of these is the old British city of WINTON itself, or as we know it today, by its Romanised name, Winchester.
Winchester was founded by the great Lawgiver (interpreter of God’s Laws) and King, Molmutius and superseded London or New Troy as established by Brutus as the seat of civil government. It became known as the White City. Similarly the Tower of London (white mound or white tower) was also built upon a Druidic site originally known as Bryn Gwyn. In the South West both Silbury Hill and Glastonbury Tor were sites for a Gorsedd.
However, the most prominent and well known site in this country of a Druidic Gorsedd is WIN(TON)-DE-SIEUR, the white or Holy mound of Sieur or Lord – WINDSOR, upon which stands that Regal Castle. It is the only Gorsedd which in unbroken historical continuity has literally fulfilled its Celtic title as ‘a great seat or throne of the monarch’ from the sixth century to the present day. It was surrounded by one of the greatest Royal Forests in the land, consisting mainly of oak and beech.
The Great Seat owes its fame entirely to the magnetic personalities of two of our most illustrious Kings, the noble Arthur, first of the three most Christian worthies of the world, and the romantic warrior-King Edward of Windsor (1312 – 1377). The Round Table of Legend was in fact the reorganisation of the Druidic Order along Christian lines. Malory tells us of Round Table Assemblies held in London, Winchester, Camelot (Cadbury) and Caerleon: but the King’s favourite station for the Whitsuntide festivities was the Windsor Table Mound. From Froissart, the court chronicler of the time, we learn that it was a romantic pilgrimage Edward 111 and his young Queen Philippa made to Arthur’s tomb at Glastonbury, which determined the Plantagenet monarch to refound the British Order, revive the Round Table Assemblies, and once again make Windsor the centre of European Chivalry.”
So it was, I feel, a fitting venue for the President of the United States, and the King of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Commonwealth, to have a formal meeting. This Druidic link combines with Donald Trump’s mother’s Scottish link with the Isle of Lewis which legend brings in some migrating Levites. Both Levites and Druids have a common ancestry.
Let us hope that Ephraim and Manasseh ARE waking up – and let us indeed pray that this is the case. Amen.
