Arise O Lord
Do not be deceived! These are troublesome times, but we are told that there will be signs and we are to watch for them and realize the times that we are in. They are the time of Jacob’s Trouble just before the return of Christ.
Due to the latest Canada Post strike, we have made all issues of the TKC Magazine available on our website. Normally, we are two months behind on publishing the magazine to the website because we like our readers to appreciate the print version first. However, due to these special circumstances, we have expedited the process. You can click here to view the 2025 editions.

Sometimes God brings about a need in an organization and then fills that need through a special individual. This happened to us 2002. Although never having written articles to that point, Holly Mills joined the only other correspondent at the time, Brooks Alden, and began writing a column using the tagline, “As I See It.” It wasn’t long before letters began flowing in telling us how her messages were so inspiring and heartfelt. Holly is one of the fortunate ones who have known of the Israel Truth message from youth and it has always sustained her through her life’s journey. She had a successful career in the airline industry but always found time for charitable pursuits. She hosted an Israel Truth Bible Study for three years and takes every opportunity to immerse herself in other studies of Scripture. Perhaps her greatest strength is that she writes what she feels so passionately.
Do not be deceived! These are troublesome times, but we are told that there will be signs and we are to watch for them and realize the times that we are in. They are the time of Jacob’s Trouble just before the return of Christ.
Our wonderful Father knows us and loves us. He has not forgotten His Covenant with His people. I love Isaiah 65:24 where it says, “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
We are living in very turbulent times and there is much uncertainty in how this COVID-19 crisis will continue. Will it end abruptly, or will there be a second or even third wave we don’t know. Many worldly things are being affected by this virus, but one thing we do know for sure is that Jesus’ last words to His disciples were that He would always be with them.
It is true we are a country in the wilderness but I believe the Holy Spirit is working in our land(s) today. A cry is going out for us to return to our God. Will we answer? There were so many good Biblical verses used and I tried to write down as many things that were said and verses quoted as I could.
I personally think that this is a time that we, as His children, should stay home as much as we can. I know this is not always possible for some have to travel for their jobs, but as much as we can we should at least try to stay in our own lands, then our own towns and it could be that we will have to stay in our homes “for a little moment”.
I guess the challenge we have today is to live in the world but not of the world. There are many good things in the world and many good people in the world. We just have to make sure that the worldly things and the worldly people do not lead us astray. What has the world really got to offer us anyway?
There is a time coming very soon that all evil will be exposed, and Jesus is coming to destroy this evil. Knowing Christ and having faith in Him is our hope, not some worldly system that is destroying the world and destroying our souls. All the signs are there that He is coming very soon.
It is an interesting time that we are living in now. I have noticed more and more that people are having a hard time. When I talk to my neighbours or my friends or listen to the radio talk shows, people are saying that they are having many troubles. Many have health problems; many are having financial difficulties, and many have family or addiction problems.
We live in a fallen world and unfortunately are affected by many things in this world that we cannot avoid. James 3:13-18 offers these wise words to us, “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Wow, we are living in desperate times. At church on Sunday we sang this lovely old hymn “Take Up Thy Cross, the Savior said, if though wouldst my disciple be”. In this secular world where today’s gods are from the worldly ideas our belief in Jesus Christ our Saviour looks like failure to them.
