Sometimes God brings about a need in an organization and then fills that need through a special individual. This happened to us 2002. Although never having written articles to that point, Holly Mills joined the only other correspondent at the time, Brooks Alden, and began writing a column using the tagline, “As I See It.” It wasn’t long before letters began flowing in telling us how her messages were so inspiring and heartfelt. Holly is one of the fortunate ones who have known of the Israel Truth message from youth and it has always sustained her through her life’s journey. She had a successful career in the airline industry but always found time for charitable pursuits. She hosted an Israel Truth Bible Study for three years and takes every opportunity to immerse herself in other studies of Scripture. Perhaps her greatest strength is that she writes what she feels so passionately.
When we are young, we often feel we must go along with the worldly ways and for the most part in our Israel lands we have been relatively safe doing this, but in today’s world these values and customs can lead us astray and cause us great harm.
What I find interesting is that I have heard this phrase a number of times lately by Christian speakers. We are living in a very uncertain and confusing time and a lot of people are living in fear and that is why they are so easily submitting to the worldly solutions.
What has happened to us? We seem to have completely lost our ability to think. Our great Israel lands were once full of prosperity. We were safe and had abundant amounts of blessings from God. Our basic daily needs for most of us were usually met.
I believe that we have lost our awareness of the power and majesty of the God we serve and worship. Dr. J.I. Packer in his book “Knowing God” says that majesty refers to greatness and respect, as in our respect for Her Majesty the Queen.
The world we live in today is becoming more and more difficult in which to feel comfortable. It sometimes feels like we live in a foreign place. The few chosen can feel very isolated at times from others around, as thoughts and desires are so different.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” (Psa. 46:1-3) In this world…

I have listened to many talks on this whole subject in the last while and I believe one of the best ways for us to get through all of this is to remember to trust in God. He knows the beginning from the end and in His Word has given us the ways to keep our immune system strong.
I find these verses very fitting for what we are going through today. We need comfort while waiting for our Lord. A note in my Bible says, “This section of Isaiah’s prophecy (40:1—48:22) is often called the Book of Consolation.
Many of the earthly gods we worship are very appealing and for the most part on their own they are fine but it is when we put them above God and what the Bible says that we get ourselves in trouble and in the end we may find they are not satisfying.
