Alone Again Unnaturally
When the Vietnam War finally drew to a close, after the embarrassing retreat by U.S. forces, the general public were assured by none other than former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger that “there are no more live POWs in Vietnam”. A similar statement issued out of the mouth of John Kerry, candidate for the office of President of the United States in 2004AD. In fact around 2000 servicemen were unaccounted for and many unofficial sightings of those left behind surfaced from time to time. Even ex world boxing champ Muhammed Ali was asked by relatives to find out, if he could find out what was going on.
We have, as loyal Christians, have been told that we will not be deserted in the coming troubling times ahead. For there is no doubt that there will be times when we will, despite all of our faith, wonder if we will end up being lost in the conflagration ahead. Thankfully, our Lord Jesus Christ has stated that not one of us will be abandoned, and strengthened this point by saying that God is aware of the fate of even a tiny sparrow.
Of course, it is Satan’s dearest wish that we as loyal Christians, should fear that we may be left to our own devices floundering about in a sea of uncertainty. But we must double down in prayer to reinforce our link with God and trust Him utterly to look after us and watch over us. Surrounded by a sea of troubles He is our only surety in these advancing days of chaos. Whilst most people rely on the internet for virtually all of their information, we must seek solace in internal quietude and prayer. And believe in the overruling power of Almighty God in all matters.
In 1971 Raymond Edward O’Sullivan, better known as Gilbert, released his hit record, ‘Alone Again Naturally’. It was a measured cry for help in which he illustrated the pain of being left alone and an inability to understand the ‘Why Me’ involved in such situations. It was a worldwide hit which seems to sum up the universal desperation of mankind. But the Lord God has promised that He will not desert us if we remain faithful to him. The Lord God is a merciful God states Deuteronomy, ch4, v31, “He will not forsake thee nor destroy thee, nor forget the Covenant of thy Fathers, which He sware unto them. As far as we true Israelites are concerned, did He not proclaim the Throne of David would be permanently occupied? In 2 Samuel ch7, v12-17, He also states “I will set up thy seed after thee, I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. If he commit iniquity I will chasten him, but my mercy shall not depart from him; and thy house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee; thy throne shall be established for ever. In these verses the promise of eternal establishment of David’s throne is stated three times, surely to emphasise the veracity of this promise.
In these dark times we must often wonder if the Lord has forgotten us, His people. But this cannot be so. We are promised His eternal deliverance from evil, an evil whose origins were not the sole responsibility of the human race. We of course live in exceedingly confused times, such as never have been before. Who can we turn to for solace and support? If we remain true to our God, we are covered by His Holy Spirit and we can feel comfortable regarding this. Only sin can cause this divine protection to be breached. We must have more faith in ourselves as well as the Almighty.
If you watch television today (never mind anti-social media), you will be inundated with information about every disease under the sun (and how you can help with your generous donation). Then a succession of adverts informing you of the most economic choices for your increasingly expensive funeral. Then more info regarding self-harm amongst the younger generation! The only self-harm there is, is to deny our youngsters a true knowledge of themselves, their true history and their God. Now, even our ex-Prime minister, Rishi Sunak is advising us British incompetents, who cannot do without his help! how to manage our finances better, finances which he destroyed along with the then Governor of the Bank of England. Wasting billions of pounds courtesy of the so-called Covid Pandemic.
They now have people who should know better, telling new mothers of babies (NOT to be called newborns please – what is an oldborn??), that they are probably suffering from a condition called babybrain. No doubt to convince even more people that they must surrender up their god-given bodies to the total control of the allopathic medical profession. In other words suggesting that mothers cannot cope with anything at this time in their lives. There was a time when mothers stayed at home to look after their children (now frowned upon by our new unhappy lords). These babies and children do not want to be alone unnaturally (which is often their fate). Surely the abandonment of our children due to seeking more money or from such as divorce etc is one of the greatest crimes enacted today, aided and abetted by our succession of governments, soaked in the spirit of Moloch.
St Paul asked the rhetorical question in Romans ch11, “Hath God cast away His People? God forbid.”
“For I am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin,” We are not cast out. We are of the true Holy Family. We have no need to fear, for Jesus Christ has overcome the world. And the world of the future has NO OPTION but to reverence His Name and be conformed to Him.
