2026 A New Year
“May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us…“
Psalm 90:17

New Year Message from Mary Bennet
President of the Canadian British Israel Association
We have the assurance and hope that the Lord is in control no matter what happens with the world and the politicians. He has a plan and it will not be altered by human intentions. Meanwhile, people are still showing an interest in our message and our books. The problem we are up against is the current steady decline in Christian people’s faith in the truth of the Scriptures. Without a belief in the inerrancy of Scripture, our Bible based message means little to a growing number of people. Our past president Firth Hubbell used to say that the day is coming when they will be seeking our message. Let us pray for that day to soon come!

New Year Message from Kent Purvis
President of the British Israel World Federation – Canada
As we usher out 2025 with good riddance and anticipate 2026 and what it will bring, we look back at a year of surprises. The Israel nations are facing strife and difficulties from outside and within. Financial difficulties, nationally and individually, threats of war, among other issues. We are also led to wonder what awaits us in the upcoming year. Last year I wondered if 2025 could be worse than 2024. I think the answer is self-evident, and I will try not to ask that question again this year. We are sure that we are one year closer to the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We must remember the words of John 16:33:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
We can rest and leave the future in God’s hands and rely on his hedge of protection around his people Israel, individually and nationally. May God bless and protect each and every one of you in 2026.

New Year Message from Robert B. MacDormand
President of the Association of the Covenant People
Come Prince of Peace
Another year has passed bringing us closer to the return of Jesus Christ. We wonder, “How long Lord?” but God is still in control. The year 2025 had the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. As a Canadian I am disturbed by the hostility between Canadian politicians and the American President. Is this what our countries have come to? Another big issue for 2025 was immigration. According to an Epoch Times report, Canada has the highest percentage of foreign-born people compared to all G7 countries. I don’t mind the Ukrainian immigrants. They have been pouring into western Canada. Before the war in the Ukraine, Canada had the second highest population of Ukrainians in the world. It is the non-Christian immigrants I am concerned about, disrupting our Christian traditions and institutions.
For 2026 I would assume the horror will continue in the Ukraine with a final settlement the Ukrainian government and other European governments will find hard to swallow. I also assume the final war in the Middle East will begin in 2026. The results of that war may shock the west, but particularly the United States. We are facing turmoil and conflicts in the Israel nations. We need the Prince of Peace to return.
I would like to thank Brooks Alden for all his work over the last twenty years in keeping the Association of the Covenant People going and editing Thy Kingdom Come magazine. Brooks still participates in one of our Bible studies and is still Treasurer of the Association. I hope Brooks will write the occasional article for the magazine. Thank you Brooks!

Events of 2025
The year 2025 has drawn to a close. It has seen an escalation of major armed conflicts throughout the world including the Russian/Ukraine war which eventually has led to peace negotiations. The Gaza war continues along with its famine and humanitarian crisis and there is conflict in Sudan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Germany and more. We also observed major earthquakes in Tibet, the Philippines and two in Alaska – and forest fires in Canada and Los Angeles and a recent devastating fire in Hong Kong.
Politically, we saw new leaders elected in the US, Canada and a re-election in Australia. Donald Trump’s election in the US has brought sweeping tariffs affecting world trade and leading to economic uncertainty. Also AI is being implemented in business and in our daily lives at a speed no one anticipated and along with deep state players in the world threatens to curtail our God-given freedoms, privacy and even our Christian – based civilization.
Despite these crises that seem to be closing in on our Israel nations, we must remember “STAND FAST therefore, in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1

2026 – A Preview
What can we expect in the new year 2026? I would suggest more of the same; more delusion, more international lies and conspiracy, more humiliation, more degradation etc, etc. For though we have the national Israel redemption and world salvation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to look forward to, we are still too enmeshed in our sins for this to happen anytime soon and especially not by next year.
The Bible warns of three evil spiritual entities to be present in the last days – the Beast, the False Prophet and the Dragon. All at war with Almighty God. I am aware of differing interpretations of what these three represent, but in my opinion they are in the modern world the symbols for the Roman Catholic led European Union, the Islamic world and finally Communist Red China. All of these have done and are doing immense damage to our Israel nations, and when they think that they have destroyed us, they will turn on one another.
It is no good looking for deliverance from our own heavily corrupted nations, for they have sunk into gross iniquity . No, it is up to every one of us to become our own little fortress under the direction of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that we may be accounted worthy to escape from the worst that the satanic world can throw at us. Not by Might, nor by Power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord, as eloquently stated in Zechariah ch4, v6.
Pollution surrounds us at all levels, financial, spiritual, moral, physical etc. Our very planet is under attack by evil scientists who think that they are the lords of the universe. False theories dreamt up by the satanic mind such as man-made climate change are acting as a driver for totalitarian control of our lives. The world of 1945 which saw the defeat of Nazi Germany is long gone. Only the memories remain and these are under remorseless attack. The elderly are being targeted because they remember too much of the old pre-digitally directed world.
So, expect more meaningless and contrived warfare, to be made the excuse for further infringements of our personal liberty. But in the centre of all apparent chaos, the voice of God thunders down with the command, “Occupy till I come”. And that, dear friends, is our first task, pure and simple.

New Year Greeting
Dear beloved readers of Thy Kingdom Come, Greetings and blessings to you all in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
It has been, and continues to be, such a joy to write for this fine publication — one of the finest publications in all of Christian Israel — and I consider it a great honour to have the opportunity to write alongside the many other talented and insightful folks whom we read each month in this exceptional periodical.
We are especially grateful to God for the wonderful work of our dear brother in Christ, Brooks Alden, and we appreciate his leadership all these many years. What a blessing his labour has been, and is, to God’s people.
In this time of uncertainty, I am reminded of the poem by Minnie Louise Haskins, The Gate of the Year, a portion of which says . . . I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year, “Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.” He replied, “Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. That shall be to you better than a light and safer than a known way.” So I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night. Amen.
May the New Year bring us all renewed faith and inner strength, and may our commitment to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ grow stronger, ever stronger, as we press on.
Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, and press forward with great anticipation, for we know that our great God is with us, that He is great in grace, and that He will keep us in all our goings. He is a good and merciful God, and I am so glad!
“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16

New Year Greeting
As 2025 comes to a close, we pause to remember family and friends that we lost this past year. It is this family’s prayer that we give thanks each day knowing our Lord Jesus Christ will be returning soon to establish his kingdom.
Here, in the United States, we have elected Donald Trump as our president who has promised much this year for the American people and yet, when one has a brush with death, who does he call upon when this occurs? Do we look to leaders or to God as to the solution of our daily problems? Have our leaders here in American either glorified or given thanks to God?
This year is history coming forward for the Old Testament shows us when we cry out for a human king, that is what we have been given. President Trump has said “I will make America great again.” I will make America great—not God—like I made myself great. Otherwise I reflect that America lost a true warrior, Charlie Kirk, who championed to young people on our college campuses about Jesus, salvation and the evils that are being taught to this next generation.
2025, will it be the beginning of “make America great again” and when Christians awoke from their sleep and took their stand or will Christians hide their head in the sand and do nothing but watch the further decay of America.
