Please Help Us Be Ready Lord!
In Luke 12:35-40, we read the following words from our Lord Jesus Christ. But first, we were reminded through a years ago Canon David Short Sunday service that there is something very interesting about these verses. He mentioned that in these six verses the words “cometh” or “come” are mentioned a total of seven times. Now Bible scholar Ed Vallowe demonstrated that “7” denotes completeness and perfection. So, we believe these verses refer to Jesus’ return and for us to be ready. “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
In the past few issues, we have written about seven prophetic hours of fifteen years each, the seventh ending somewhere in mid-2023. After that point is reached, we will enter the eighth period of fifteen years and it is very likely that Christ will return sometime in those 15 years. Again, according to Vallowe, “8” stands for “new birth” or a “new beginning”.
