Knowing Your True Israelite History

Norwegian historian/explorer Thor Heyerdahl says,
“Our lack of knowledge about our own past is appalling.”

And Jesus says in Matthew 15:24,
“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel”

The Poem, Hymn and Song “Jerusalem” is a poem written by William Blake around 1808.
And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England’s pleasant pastures seen?

Many of us have sung this song or read this as a poem many times over the years. Many of us know of Jesus’s presence in Glastonbury and surrounding Cornwall in southwestern Britain as a young child and young man. He was brought to Britain over the years by His great uncle Joseph of Arimathea numerous times. 

I had a rather interesting conversation a few years back with a young man who was a nurse while I was in the hospital. I was curious as to how he became a nurse. So, I asked him why he became a nurse and he said he was taking history of the 1st century in university but decided after one year to take up nursing instead. Of course, being interested in history, I asked him why he had quit taking the history degree. He said he lost interest and changed to nursing. I said, “Did they teach anything about Jesus?” He said, “Yes; that Jesus never existed and was a myth.” Oh my, I’m thinking this poor guy is in trouble. He’s an atheist to boot! I said that Jesus did exist. He looks at me with a puzzled look. Now I got his full attention…

I asked him if he knew that Jesus had built a home/Church in Glastonbury England and according to the Druids that for over a thousand years, people from all over Britain and continental Europe did a Pilgrimage to Glastonbury to see the house/Church Jesus had built. And that there is other evidence of Jesus being in Glastonbury and Cornwall.He said they never taught that in the university history classes he took.

I then told him that in 597 A.D., in a visit to Glastonbury by St. Augustine, the first Archbishop of Canterbury, he went to see the house/Church that Jesus built and in a letter to Pope Gregory after his visit, St. Augustine states that there was a “Church constructed by no human art, but divinely constructed (or by the hands of Christ Himself), for the salvation of His people”. I could see he was listening with ears to hear!

Then I asked him about National Anthems. I said some countries have 2 National Anthems they can sing! Either one can be sung at events. America has the “Star Spangled Banner” as their main national anthem or they can sing “God Bless America”. Canada has “O Canada” or “Maple Leaf Forever”. England has “God Save the King” and they also have the Song “Jerusalem”.

Then I asked, “Why would England have a song about Jerusalem?” He said, “I don’t know.” I said, “Let me explain….”

“Jerusalem” is a song about Jesus being in Britain. My question to him was, “Why would the government of England allow a song about Jesus (Holy Lamb of God) being in Britain as one of their national anthems?” He said, “I don’t know; why?

This young nurse was shocked and embarrassed as the classes he took on 1st century history did not mention any of this; it was newly discovered history for him. In less than 15 minutes he went from a nonbeliever to a believer in Jesus with a simple explanation of Jesus coming to Britain! And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England’s mountains green?

He thanked me for such great information that was never taught to him, and I had explained and proved that Jesus existed in a very short time, but he had spent a whole year of university listening to teaching that Jesus was a myth!

I had a feeling he was brought up in a Christian home but fell into the secular teaching of today’s universities! It seemed like he had a good heart, and I reassured him in his new beliefs. He knew what he had been taught at university was wrong.
