Canada Post Strike

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, which shows no signs of resolution, we have made all issues of the TKC Magazine available on our website, including those up to December 2024. Normally, we are two months behind on publishing the magazine to the website because we like our readers to appreciate the print version first. However, due to these special circumstances, we have expedited the process. You can click here to view the 2024 editions.

Please remember to direct all mail and correspondence to our Canadian address.

Wait on the Lord

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Psa. 27:14).

He will come to save us as He saved the disciples He will come to save us as He saved the disciples

In these times of great distress among the nations and the world in upheaval we must remember to “Wait on the Lord”.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” (Matt. 24:6).

As we see the end of this age drawing near we tend to be impatient and want the Lord to return right now. We must remember though, that God has His timetable for events to happen and we must accept this and continue to do His work. God is in control and as events unfold we will see His hand at work. He will give us the courage to go on. This is a time for us to draw closer to Him spiritually. We must pray constantly and search the Scriptures continually for His encouragement and instruction. God does not want us to be afraid or impatient. He wants to use us to do His work and we are to wait for Him to do His.

“Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, then thou shalt see it.” (Psa. 37:34).

We have a wonderful and loving God. He is working events out as He has foretold in the Scriptures. We must watch them unfold as He has planned. Through it all we are not to be afraid. Our God is a faithful God. His ways are just. He will not forsake us.

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Deut. 31:6).

What a comfort these words are. We have a wonderful God who has sent His Holy Spirit to live in us and live through us. He will give us comfort when we need to be comforted and inspire us when we need to do His work. We only get into trouble when we try to do our own will and not His will. Through all that is happening we must listen for the Lord’s direction. We must obey His commandments and watch and pray.

“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation, on thee do I wait all the day.” (Psa. 25:5).

Our faithful God is infinitely more patient than we are. To us the world is in such a mess that we cannot understand why the Lord is waiting to return to destroy His enemies. He is asking us to be patient. His timing is perfect and there is a reason for the delay. He wants us to increase our faith and not grow weary. We must not conform to the world but stay strong in our faith. We must use this time to grow in our own faith and to get ready for our work in the Kingdom age.

This time just before Jesus Christ’s return is filled with disharmony, tension, uncertainty, false teaching, etc. It is a time of great darkness and a great falling away. We should be in constant prayer that we be not deceived. Our hope and faith are in the Lord and we wait longingly for His soon return.

This time just before Jesus Christ’s return is filled with disharmony, tension, uncertainty, false teaching, etc.

“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.” (Rom. 8:24-26).

The Lord knows our hearts. He knows how we groan and moan over the events that are happening in our world. He wants to give us peace and to let us know that He is our hope and our comfort. We must let the Holy Spirit speak to us and let ourselves be comforted. We must live in this world until the Lord’s return but we do not have to partake of this world system. Let the Holy Spirit fill our hearts and minds up so much that there is no room for the evil thoughts and actions of this fallen world.

“Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, he is my defence: I shall not be greatly moved.” (Psa. 62:1-2).

As things continue to grow worse and worse in our world we know that the Lord’s return draws nearer and nearer. This is a time to draw closer to Him. Our goal should be to live a more spiritual life and a less worldly life. Our Lord is speaking to us. We must make sure we are listening!

Sometimes God brings about a need in an organization and then fills that need through a special individual. This happened to us 2002. Although never having written articles to that point, Holly Mills joined the only other correspondent at the time, Brooks Alden, and began writing a column using the tagline, “As I See It.” It wasn’t long before letters began flowing in telling us how her messages were so inspiring and heartfelt. Holly is one of the fortunate ones who have known of the Israel Truth message from youth and it has always sustained her through her life’s journey. She had a successful career in the airline industry but always found time for charitable pursuits. She hosted an Israel Truth Bible Study for three years and takes every opportunity to immerse herself in other studies of Scripture. Perhaps her greatest strength is that she writes what she feels so passionately.
