The True Reset
Many political leaders and the super-rich are waiting expectantly for the great reset. My understanding is they are looking to corporations that collectively hold trillions of dollars to bail out and take over the world economy. The World Economic Forum predicts that we common people will not own anything in the future. Our land, our homes, and even our vehicles will be owned by governments and corporations. We will rent everything. This view of the future will fail. There is a coming reset, but it is not as they planned.
The last great depression shifted a large amount of wealth from the common people to rich investors. However, after that the middle class went on to still control a large portion of the economy. I believe the 1980s saw the middle class still controlling sixty percent of the American economy. This is changing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Small businesses are being pushed into bankruptcy. Former wage earners are now unemployed. National debt is skyrocketing which will mean increased taxes and less money available for public projects. Governments will be forced to spend more on servicing the debt interest. All of this helps to destroy the wealth of the middle class. The proponents of the great reset believe they know how to create a better world. The opinions of the middle class and the poor class do not matter to them.
God has a different plan. “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.” James 5:1-3. The great depression of the 1930s was followed by a World War. I believe this present economic turmoil, whether it results in another depression or simply a shifting of wealth from one class to another, will be followed by another World War. This war is explained in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 and in Zechariah chapters 12 to 14. Babylon (world rulership without God) will fall, to the dismay of the super-rich. “Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:” Revelation 18: 10-11. Babylon is not in just one city. It is in all the major cities of the world where the economies of the world are planned. Their power will be brought down by the coming war. “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Revelation 18:21.
As I see it, soon after the World War the Lord will return to take over the governments of the world and establish true peace and prosperity. Recently I was reading an old National Message magazine from March 1, 1939 which discussed the plans for the League of Nations. Many people at that time had doubts about its ability to create peace and harmony in the world. I quote from an article in the magazine entitled “The Coming World State”: “If the covenant of the League of Nations, which is founded upon an international basis, is ineffective, is there in existence a covenant of another character which will fit the problem? British-Israel answers emphatically in the affirmative, claiming that the foundation of a World State already exists in embryo in the covenant made with the House of Israel forever. British-Israel equally emphatically sees the possibility of a world State emerging as a result of the continued development of the political phenomenon known as the British Commonwealth of Nations, which, with the United States, represents the Nation and Company of Nations of the prophetic Scriptures (Genesis 35:11) Divinely destined to form the nucleus of a new world order of civilization.”
The true reset will not be accomplished by godless political leaders or by billionaire technocrats. It will be established by Christian leaders within the British Commonwealth and the USA under the direction of Jesus Christ. And all Christians throughout the world will have their part in establishing the true global reset.
