Canada Post Strike

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, which shows no signs of resolution, we have made all issues of the TKC Magazine available on our website, including those up to December 2024. Normally, we are two months behind on publishing the magazine to the website because we like our readers to appreciate the print version first. However, due to these special circumstances, we have expedited the process. You can click here to view the 2024 editions.

Please remember to direct all mail and correspondence to our Canadian address.

The Role of the Church

The Role of the Church

I believe the role of the church is misunderstood in our day because people do not recognize the identity of the lost tribes of Israel. Christians today do not understand the relationship established by God between Israel and the church in Israel. The church in Israel is called to do more than just preach the Gospel. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20. This great commission involved more than just preaching the Gospel of personal salvation.

The apostle Peter explained our identity as Christian Israelites. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” I Peter 2:9. Calling us a royal priesthood implies two things. First, we are of royal descent. We are children of the king and our father is God. He is the ruler and we are destined to rule as princes and princesses in His kingdom. Even in this mortal life we are given authority to conquer and rule. “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20. We have spiritual authority higher than that of demons. We can prevent them from carrying out their wicked plans. “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:18-19. Two Christians can agree in prayer to bind demons. It is up to Christians to stop demons from taking over the U.S.A., Canada, the U.K., and other Israel nations. Recognize the demons behind the evil people and bind those demons. You cannot bind the evil people but you can bind the demons giving power to those people. The people will be bound when Jesus returns.

When Peter called us a royal priesthood it also means we are all priests. Our high priest is Jesus Christ who is a priest after the order of Melchizedec, the highest office of priesthood in existence. As priests it is our duty to intercede for our nations. We need to pray for our nations because we are the ones the Lord will listen to. We have the ear of Jesus Christ our high priest and we are his priests. It is up to us to call on the Lord and get help for our Israel people. Priests have a duty to bless the people and teach the people the laws of God. “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:18-19.

Therefor we see that the duty of the church in the Israel nations is more than just preaching the Gospel. We have a duty to protect our nations from evil spirits, to intercede for our nations before God, and to teach our people the laws of God. How are we doing? We are our brother’s and sister’s keepers. Are we protecting them from evil? The condition of our nations reflects the condition of the Israel church. If the church is spiritually healthy our nations will be thriving. How are we doing? Many people are looking for an Antichrist to blame for the problems in our nations. Recently I saw the person who is responsible for the sin in our nation. I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror and he was looking back at me. You can see the guilty person if you look in your bathroom mirror. All of us must continually confess that we are sinners and claim the gift of forgiveness by the sacrifice of Jesus given to us when he died on the cross. Then we must go forth and do our small part in helping the church in our Israel nations do their duty to God.

Daniel was proclaimed to be a very righteous man by God. When God spoke to Ezekiel about the sin of Israel he said, “Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.” Ezekiel 14:13-14. However, Daniel did not think he was righteous. He knew he was a sinner. He said, “And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” Daniel 9:20-21. Daniel was praying for Israel, confessing that they were sinners and that he was a sinner. Let us follow his example and not think too highly of ourselves. All of us are sinners and all of us are part of a sinful church and a sinful nation. Nevertheless, we are forgiven and protected from the wrath of God by the blood of Jesus Christ, and until our mortal lives end we must work to do our part as royal priests in the Lord’s service.

Rob MacDormand

Readers like Rob MacDormand’s articles because they express a great love of the Lord and are written in such a way as to be easily understood. Perhaps he gained a great insight from his mother who for years was a contributing writer to The Prophetic Expositor, the former magazine of British-Israel-World Federation. He writes a great deal about blessings and curses, how both have affected our Israel nations, and he emphasizes the great need to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom whenever the opportunity arises. He does so in his personal ministry. Rob is a graduate of the University of Alberta, was engaged in the oil industry for many years and now is involved in city planning. He is a third generation believer in the Israel message and has a great interest in what is going to happen spiritually to our brethren as the end of the age draws closer.
