The Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

The Benefits of Apple Cider VinegarWhen I was younger my father used to tell me often about the benefits of apple cider vinegar. I would listen and take some of the vinegar occasionally but not to a great extent. As I have gotten older I have been looking again at apple cider vinegar and its benefits and there are many. “For centuries people have been using natural apple cider vinegar as both a food and a medicine for themselves and for their pets. Since 400 BC, Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, and others, have used vinegar and vinegar mixed with honey, as an energizing tonic and a healing elixir.” http://bit.ly/1KZUrIe

It is best to try and get apple cider vinegar which is organic, unfiltered and non-pasteurized with no chemicals or preservatives added and which contains the “mother of vinegar”. The “mother of vinegar” is a natural gelatinous substance formed during the last fermentation step. If you cannot see “the mother of vinegar” in the vinegar it has been pasteurized and therefore it has lost its benefits. “If the ACV is distilled enzymes are destroyed as is the potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, sulfur, iron, copper, silicon, trace minerals, and essential amino acids. Distilling also destroys natural acids that fight body toxins and inhibit unfriendly bacteria.” http://bit.ly/1AU9cpY

Apple cider vinegar can be purchased at natural health stores.

This website states that apple cider vinegar has been reported to: http://bit.ly/1JFgt1J

  • Relieve sore throat, colds, and sinus infection
  • Lower high cholesterol levels
  • Help clear skin conditions
  • and blemishes, like acne and age spots
  • Help eliminate toxins
  • Prevent allergies
  • Increase strength and improve stamina
  • Strengthen the immune system
  • Improve metabolism which helps in reducing weight
  • Promote digestion and help promote bowel movement [helps with acid reflux]
  • Relieve joint pain and stiffness
  • Treat bladder infections

Other websites also list decrease in glucose levels as well. http://bit.ly/1PEGsZ3

It has also been used for bad breath, weight loss, body odor, acne, age spots, cellulite, yeast infections (this includes candida in the gut which is so essential to good health), stomach problems, hemorrhoids and much more.

Available research shows that it also restores the proper ph levels (between 7.35 and 7.45) in our blood. “Proponents of the alkaline-acid theory believe that a diet high in acid-producing foods leads to lack of energy, excessive mucous production, infections, anxiety, irritability, headache, sore throat, nasal and sinus congestion, allergic reactions, and increased risk of conditions such as arthritis and gout. Despite being an acidic solution, some proponents of apple cider vinegar believe it has an alkalinizing effect on the body. As such, they recommend one to two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in water as a daily health tonic. Although this is a popular remedy, its effectiveness hasn’t been researched. Like other types of vinegar, apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid and it also contains some lactic, citric and malic acids.” http://abt.cm/1IyY4VH

Apple cider vinegar is rich in natural and enzymes, minerals and vitamins. The unique acids in apple cider vinegar can bind to toxins and help the body eliminate them more effectively. They also equip the body to fight candida, bacteria and fungus.

“Another way apple cider vinegar aids detoxification is by breaking up mucus throughout the body and cleansing the lymph nodes to allow for better lymph circulation. A healthy lymphatic system can remove toxins from the cells in the body while improving immune system response.”

I have now been using apple cider vinegar for almost 2 weeks. I have been taking 1 teaspoon in a glass of water daily. I have noticed that I have less mucus and sinus congestion. A skin condition that I have on my ear seems to be getting smaller so I am hopeful. I also have been dabbing some of the apple cider vinegar on my ear. I read that you should try not to contaminate the vinegar when removing some from the bottle. I pour a small amount onto a cotton pad and then dab it on my ear. When taking apple cider vinegar orally always take it in a glass of water or juice.

Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the safety of using apple cider vinegar as medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side, and don’t use it.

“Diabetes: Apple cider vinegar might lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Therefore, blood sugar levels need to be monitored closely. Dose adjustments may be necessary for diabetes medications that are taken.

Another thing the Mayo Clinic thinks we should know is the following: Taking small amounts of apple cider vinegar should not offer many risks, but taking in larger amounts on a regular basis could prove problematic. It is highly acidic and may cause problems ranging from harm to the teeth to lower potassium levels, lower bone density, and interaction with some medications. As with all supplements, talk to your health care provider before starting a new regimen.” http://bit.ly/1RA7AMw

The Re-Gathering of Israel

Holly Mills

Sometimes God brings about a need in an organization and then fills that need through a special individual. This happened to us 2002. Although never having written articles to that point, Holly Mills joined the only other correspondent at the time, Brooks Alden, and began writing a column using the tagline, “As I See It.” It wasn’t long before letters began flowing in telling us how her messages were so inspiring and heartfelt. Holly is one of the fortunate ones who have known of the Israel Truth message from youth and it has always sustained her through her life’s journey. She had a successful career in the airline industry but always found time for charitable pursuits. She hosted an Israel Truth Bible Study for three years and takes every opportunity to immerse herself in other studies of Scripture. Perhaps her greatest strength is that she writes what she feels so passionately.
