On The Verge Of The Kingdom
Jesus Christ compared the events just prior to his return to the events just prior to the flood in the time of Noah. “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:37-42. Christians typically say they are always watching, but I wonder if they are?
Jesus in Luke chapter 17 compared the events preceding his return to the days of Noah and the days of Lot. These were days when God was preparing to do something wonderful and get rid of the old order of things. In the days of Noah, the earth was filled with violence. (Genesis 6). Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah were filled with sin in the days of Lot. (Genesis 18). God was preparing to cut down the population and continue with a remnant. The remnant in the time of Lot was Abraham followed by his descendants. In our day could we see great destruction followed by a new beginning? With the return of Christ most people will not know anything until the destruction comes, and if you warn them about it, they will mock you. “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” 2 Peter 3:3-4. It is even worse than Peter predicted, because the scoffers don’t even believe in creation. There is violence in our Israel nations (the Anglo Saxon and kindred nations). Would a woman go for a walk by herself at night in any city in our nations? The apostle Peter mentioned people “walking after their own lusts”. They have abandoned marriage and think nothing of living with a partner in sexual sin, and looking at pornography has become a way of life. Sin is rampant, and I believe God is getting ready to cut down the old order and continue with a remnant who want to live under his laws.
When the Lord returns, you should want to meet him in the sky. Noah floated above the destruction happening below him. Lot was told to get up into the mountains above the destruction of the valley. You need to be above the destruction that will be happening on the earth. If you have not done so, confess and repent of your sins in a prayer to God, and ask God to make Jesus Christ your Lord. Believe that he took your sins upon himself on the cross. You will be part of the believing remnant. “ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.I believe the Gospel preaching in the world is almost complete. The last area of evangelism is the Middle East. People in that area are having dreams in which Jesus Christ comes to meet them, and they receive him. I believe this is in preparation for the huge war that is coming to that area of the world, followed by the return of Christ. Don’t wait for the end of the war. It could end suddenly and the trumpet of the archangel sound across the world, announcing the beginning of the Kingdom of God. Pray to God today for salvation. “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” 2 Corinthians 6:2. And if you have already received Jesus Christ, look up and rejoice, as you wait for his coming!
