Increase In Violence
“And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.”
Genesis 6:12-14
I can’t help but think that the earth today appears to be in a similar, if not worse, state than the time before the flood. Violence is everywhere and appears to be increasing every day. Our Israel nations used to be places where people could live in safety and feel secure but that has drastically changed in the last twenty or so years. There are many causes for this of course but much of it is caused by too much immigration, overcrowding and now of course with unemployment and increasing cost for food, etc. In many places too the increase of homelessness and drug abuse has played a major role in violence. An older woman at my church who is a nurse works one day a week down on the east side where the problem is huge with drugs and homelessness. She told me a few weeks ago that only Jesus can fix the problem down there; it is that bad.
This of course brings us to the most serious problem of all and that is our abandoning Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. The wicked use all these things to increase the violence so they can be in control because of all the upheaval and uncertainty. Recently I have watched many things that are happening in Europe. Recently in Brussels the farmers were protesting about their crops. From the Brussels Times Dec. 17, 2025, “Traffic across the Belgian capital is being disrupted by a farmers’ protest which coincides with an EU summit today.
Around 10,000 farmers from over 40 groups from all EU Member States are expected to take to the streets of Brussels to denounce the impact of EU agricultural policy and the controversial EU trade agreement with Mercosur countries.” This one also from Reuters Dec. 19,2025, “PARIS, Dec 19 (Reuters) – The French government on Friday called for a Christmas truce with protesting farmers, warning against further blockades during the holiday season, a move the country’s main union said depended on the prime minister’s response to their demands.
Farmers have been blocking roads, dumping manure and holding demonstrations in France for over a week to protest against the government’s management of cattle lumpy skin disease and a trade deal with the South American bloc Mercosur.” These are only 2 of the protests around the EU and elsewhere. Here is another one from England, Reuters Sept. 2025, “LONDON, Sept 13 (Reuters) – More than 100,000 protesters marched through central London on Saturday, carrying flags of England and Britain and scuffling with police in one of the UK’s biggest right-wing demonstrations of modern times. London’s Metropolitan Police said the “Unite the Kingdom” march, organised by anti-immigrant activist Tommy Robinson, was attended by around 110,000 people, who were kept apart from a “Stand Up to Racism” counter-protest attended by around 5,000.”
These protests for the most part have not been terribly violent but some of the other things that have been happening in our countries have led to extreme violence and have not been dealt with, which is therefore causing more dissatisfaction and upheaval. The many shootings in the United States lately, especially the Charlie Kirk shooting, in Australia and other Israel countries have shown that violence is everywhere. We must pray for our Israel nations as we are under judgment, and we must pray that our people will repent and call out to God for help. He is the only one that can help us now. Now with AI intruding further into our lives it is hard to know exactly how far all this will go. Through all of this we know that God is watching over the whole situation and at some point, as in the time of Noah, He will make the move to end all of this and deal with His enemies. May that day come soon!
“The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.” (Psalms 11:4-6)
