Hope Amidst the Chaos
“We can see hope in the midst of hopelessness. We can see peace in the midst of chaos. We have a hope that the world does not have. We can see clearly that all things work together for the good of them that love Him and are called according to His purpose.”
Priscilla Shirer
At times it feels like we are living in a mad, mad, mad, mad world. Everything seems to be falling apart and there appears to be no end to this madness. Every time it seems it can’t get any worse, it does. I know this is not the only time that our Israel people have gone through much turmoil and God has had to save them out of it, but this time it seems so much worse, as our nations are deteriorating fairly quickly now and have totally lost their way. There appears to be little hope. But there is hope. In the darkest times the light shines through brighter than ever and this is where we are today. It appears that maybe our Israel nations are starting to wake up. A small glimmer of light is shining through in the darkness.
A good friend of mine from church is starting to speak of Jesus returning to fix our mess. She said that a Jewish woman she knew also thought Jesus was probably the only one that could fix things today. I have always felt that possibly the beginning of our return could start in Britain (Ephraim) and spread to the rest of the Commonwealth countries. There already are many gatherings with the St. George flag and the Union Jack flying within these groups. The people realize they are losing their country and their values and want them back. There also seems to be a spiritual revival starting where many, especially young people, are starting to look to know Jesus Christ again. They realize the world system is not offering them any hope or peace, and these are the things they are missing in their lives. Hope is a lost commodity these days. We must remember that God has never given up on His Israel people. We have given up on Him and some are now starting to realize this. He is waiting for us to invite Him back into our lives so He can heal our lands. This is His grace and His mercy. Thanks be to God!
The whole world seems to suffer when the Israel nations fall into decay. We have always been the light in the world and that is why so many people have wanted to come to our countries, but we have not only let ourselves and God down, but them also. Most of them who came to our countries many years ago wanted to contribute to our nations and learn our ways; and they did. Today, though, this is not happening, and our nations are divided internally. There is much confusion, chaos, and disrespect among the populations of our countries. Where does that lead us? About Jesus, it says, “But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.” (Luke 11:17) Our nations are falling, but there is hope in this dark world. I read somewhere recently that someone said, “Any attempt to extinguish the light causes it to burn brighter.”
It appears that this could be happening. Many young people had already been returning to church. And with the death of Charlie Kirk, this has only increased their interest in learning about Jesus Christ. Like him or not, the evil one’s intentions to get rid of him have only increased the light of Jesus Christ. Could this be like a spirit of Elijah leading to the return of Christ? I found the following on bibletools.org about what the Bible says about Spirit and Power of Elijah: “Elijah says disturbing things. This is a prophet’s job, a hallmark of a prophet of God. People like to feel comfortable. The only trouble is that people like to feel comfortable in moral mediocrity. They become “settled on their lees,” as it says in Zephaniah 1:12. The prophet comes along and troubles people by awakening them to their sins, making them feel guilty about their relationships with God and each other. He awakens them to their spiritual and moral responsibilities. These Israelites were lethargic in terms of true, spiritual matters. When a person is freezing to death, he feels a pleasant numbness that he does not want to end. He just goes to sleep as he is freezing to death. But when heat is applied, and the blood begins rushing into the affected areas, pain immediately occurs. Though it hurts, the pain is indicative of rescue and cure. God sends a prophet to people who are cold in their relationship with God—spiritually freezing to death—and they want to stay that way. The prophet turns the heat on, and they become angry with him when he is actually working to make them better. He is often accused of causing their pain.” These are the Israelites today. They are experiencing pain while God is trying to wake them up before His return. We must pray for our people and for all that God is doing. It is an amazing time to be alive.
