Fools
As three Australian brothers once said, ”….cause we’re living in a world of fools breaking us down, when they all should let us be…”.
I don’t think we need any more proof that this statement is true but here is a recent headline from the main stream news that proves it beyond doubt: “British scientists could experiment with techniques to block sunlight as part of a 50 million pound, taxpayer-funded scheme to combat global warming. The geo-engineering project is set to be given the go-ahead within weeks and could see scientists explore techniques including launching clouds of reflective particles into the atmosphere or using seawater sprays to make clouds brighter….If successful, less sunlight will reach the earth’s surface and, in turn, temporarily cool the surface of the earth.”
Right off the bat we notice that the term, “global warming” is being used again (I thought we were to use the term “climate change” now so it could be applied to just about everything). Also though, if we are dimming the sunlight how will this influence the effectiveness of solar panels that now pervade our landscapes placed there to provide clean energy and combat climate change? The contradiction seems obvious!
We read in Genesis 6:5: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”. We note that evil was continual and not just for that time, but carried on even after Noah’s time. When Noah and the people and animals got off the ark they started spreading around the world from the east and this is found in Genesis Chapter 1:1-9 “And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech. And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” Bear in mind here that God had told them (as he told Adam and Eve) to go and populate the earth and subdue it. But they didn’t listen to the command of God. So here we have again, as they got off the ark, they stayed together and didn’t want to be dispersed over the earth. They stayed together with one language. “And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” Have you ever told someone to stop babbling?
As an aside, we note that, in Genesis, many times God has come down to be with people as He did at the Tower of Babel. God was with man in the garden. God came down to Abraham. God came down with Lot to see the evil in Sodom and Gomorrah and, of course, God came down as Jesus in the New Testament. He will come again at the appointed time of judgment. He seems to come at important pivotal times.
At Babel, they were together trying to reach up to the heavens to be like God. Satan said to Adam and Eve that they would be like Gods. They always chose to disobey God and do what was right in their eyes. And now, by attempting to significantly change the weather we are trying to do God’s job. Of course, weather modification efforts have been going on for decades with HAARP-like facilities and cloud seeding programs. I should note that, contrary to this warming idea, I remember in school in 1979 being old to prepare for a mini-ice-age to come in 10 to 20 years. Thus, it is in the heart of man to do (and say) evil continuously.
One news article quoted a scientist who called this geo-engineering a dangerous distraction from all our efforts at cutting emissions using wind and solar power leading to government policies cutting our freedoms. So, we must ask what the point was of all these net-zero technologies and all the restrictive and expensive policies that derived from them if they had only negligible effects on the so-called runaway global warming. The answer seems so obvious – the heart of man is only evil continuously as per Genesis 6:5. It should also be noted that, once they start telling you about these things, they’re already well under way.
As time and technology advances, we understand more of God’s creation. The complexities of DNA have a function and a meaning, and we are discovering what is already there – we’re not creating them. Clearly, the earth and solar system is designed for life – a code – there is a creator. However, Romans chapter one tells us we suppress that knowledge. “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” Romans 1: 21-22.
In the Book of Revelation John walked with Jesus on the island of Patmos and was given the revelation. This was in the year A.D. 96 and all of it was to come in the future. Today much of it has already occurred but some is yet to come. For the most part, it talks of man trying to be God – coming up with all these schemes which all end up in death and destruction eg., world wars of the twentieth century – the bloodiest time in history. Now we’re living in a world where 40 million abortions are committed every year.
In terms of things that haven’t yet happened we can look at Revelation 21 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle (dwelling place) of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God.”
Israel, under the new covenant with God has now been made “new” and ready for re-betrothal to God as described in Ezekiel 37: 26-28. This time, when God comes down, He is here to stay.
We can agree that, in Britain as in other countries, the members of parliament who advocate for such policies as cooling the earth, are insane. Where do we normally send insane people? To asylums! Thus, we’re at a point now where we don’t elect members of parliament. We elect members of the asylum!
