Instead of fidelity and kindness in our lands, we are seeing mounting antagonism against the divine values.
Our Israelite family members made a golden calf to worship and carry on immorally while Moses went to meet God. Are we no different?
Hmm, is it coincidence that child-bearing is nine months long? It is so interesting that the Bible likens us to trees bearing good or evil fruit as we grow both physically and mentally.
Totally unreported by the media is Washington’s breach of the Gorbachev/Reagan agreement that ended the Cold War, whereby the U.S. vowed not to expand NATO.
In this day we see the wicked prosper and wonder why God does nothing. Many, including Christians, get angry about the damage the wicked are doing and think God is just sitting on the sidelines.
Please turn to Job 38 for today’s lesson and follow along as God asks Job a series of questions that no human could possibly answer. Job had his troubles by losing his family, his goods, his livestock, his health and his friends. I bet he thought he had lost everything and wondered what would be next?
To me honor equates to time—time spent with your loved ones, time to look at them and share the memories of your earlier days. Time to listen to the same stories that your parents repeat over and over due to dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Time to hold their hand when their walk is gone and their steps are slow, time to give them a hug and cry a tear knowing that this may be the last time you may see them.
Let’s look at the word prayer—This word is used 114 times in the Strong’s exhaustive concordance—82 times in the Old Testament, 32 times in the New Testament, and seven times used by Jesus.
Throughout the Bible, God has raised leaders of nations, like David, to ask, seek and knock before waging war and the results: God has gone forth before you to overcome the camp of the Philistines.
