The Foundations Are Destroyed
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
(Psa. 11:3)
We are living in a time similar to what was happening when the Lord told Noah to build and Ark for himself and his family and the animals before He judged the earth but saved Noah and his family in the Ark. Similar also to Lot and his family being told to leave before the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah. There are other instances in the Bible where God has saved His people out of a bad event before they happened. There is also the time the Lord told Moses and Aaron to have the Israelites put the blood of a lamb upon the lintel and doorposts before He came to destroy the first born of the Egyptians.” For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.” Today we have the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ covering us.
The foundations of our Israel nations are all but destroyed now. We are few who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and follow His laws and commandments. We are broken and so often it feels like things are hopeless. They are not hopeless though because we know that we have been told these times would come upon us and that we must prepare ourselves to hear God’s voice and to know what to do. We are covered by the blood of our Saviour and the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ so we know He will look after us. It is now the Lord’s battle to come and defeat His enemies as they are too powerful for us to conquer on our own. Here are the words from Psalm 11. They say it all: “In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.”
Our people have lost sight of who they are and have fallen into Satan’s trap but God loves us and will have mercy upon us if we confess our sins and cry out to Him for help. He is ready to fight the battle for us and for His own Glory which He deserves! I believe we may have to hide ourselves for a little moment while He destroys His enemies but we will know when that time comes. We may just have to stay put in our homes and wait on the Lord to defeat out enemies and save us. Isa. 26:20 says, “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.”
There are other places in the Bible which indicate the same thing. The Lord knows who the righteous people are and He hears our cries and our prayers. Once the foundations are destroyed it becomes very hard to live in this corrupt world but we must trust in the Lord’s timing to destroy those who are trying to destroy His people. I would not want to be one of them right now! We must just keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:25-28) All these things are happening now so have no fear, the Lord is with us and will win the battle for us.
