A Year End Message – The Invisible Leader
Recently many people have been asking the pertinent question: who is the leader of the Israel Truth Movement?
It is recognized that there have been many prominent men in the movement, some men more prominent than others.
Yet, in reality, there is only one true answer to this question. For there can be but one leader of the Israel Truth Movement and that is—The Lord Jesus Christ.
Surely, it is an amazing personality which is revealed to us in the One Who can manifest Himself on the lowest plane, as the lowly Jesus, and on the highest, as the King of kings. Again, Isaiah gives the perfect vision of the Divine personality of our unseen leader when he declares with eloquence and a transcendent sense of drama:” … and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.”
The Israel Truth movement is not merely a religious movement leading to a religious revival. It is something infinitely greater, more vital and significant than that. It is a spiritual movement aiming at a spiritual awakening. For we live in the days when God has declared that He will infuse into us, as a people and our nations, a new mind, new heart and new spirit, nothing less than a national re-birth is called for – a truly spiritual renaissance. Raise the spiritual potential of the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic and kindred peoples and a force can be generated which will transform the world.
Remember this! A cause is always greater than its advocates; this cause more than any, that is, the proclamation of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Therefore, do not judge this movement by its leaders and members. Judge it by its dedication and its commitment to its God–Given mission.
And keep in mind, Old Testament vision is eloquently linked to New Testament conception by the words which follow: “Now unto the King, Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory, for ever and ever.” Here is revealed the identity of the invisible leader who inspires and guides us. For Christ—the Invisible King —is the One alone Whom we serve.

Editor: As we reach this twelfth month of 2017, a year of tragic events, and a coming year that seems to promise more of the same, we have to wonder if we are close to that moment that Ezekiel several times prophesied, “The end is come”. Ezekiel wrote of the recompense due us for our abominations and he expresses God’s fury in dealing with us. Indeed, throughout the entire chapter seven, he describes a sorry scenario that very closely resembles particularly today’s Israel world. And as he outlines judgment, he makes it crystal clear that “we shall know that He (the everlasting ‘I am’) is the Lord”.
Our Movement has sadly declined in numbers and significance over the past 60 years, as the world has gone astray, and we are sorely in need of youthful leaders to keep the fires burning. It can be done, as evidenced by BIWF’s Victoria, Australia’s 16 year old Perry Thorp and their dedicated Pastor Chris Chetland, who jointly brought their branch back to life. The “invisible Leader” will one day, hopefully soon, make his appearance and we must bridge the gap through our libraries, websites and conferences. Let us pray that if His Return is still a long time coming, that He will shore up our movement with new blood to carry the torch.
