The Future of America
I have been following the American election as much as possible. There is a huge volume of information being put forward by the media and it is difficult to sort out what is true and what is just propaganda. As a Canadian I will not be able to vote but will have to sit back and watch to see what happens. Canada is affected more than any other country in the world by what happens in the United States. Our cultures and economies are closely tied together.
As with all nations of the Israel people, the leaders of the United States are not able to deal with the real issues that are causing problems in the country. All of the Israel nations are deeply in debt and going farther into debt at an exponential rate. What is at the root of these economic problems? The Bible says, “Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.” Deuteronomy 15:5-6. At the root of the problem is the breaking of the Ten Commandments. Business is wide open seven days a week without regard for one day of worship. People use Jesus’ name as a curse word. People have sexual relationships outside of marriage, and people kill unborn babies. Those are just four of the Ten Commandments that people break, but they break all ten of them and then expect to have prosperity in the nation. Impossible! No president, senator, governor, member of Congress or any other official can fix this. Our people have gone too far and only the return of Jesus Christ can repair our national economies.
Many people are worried about Islamic terrorism. According to the late Howard Rand in his book “Study in Revelation”, the ninth chapter of the book of Revelation is about the Islamic scourge that brought God’s judgement against a people practicing an apostate form of Christianity in a period from the seventh to the fifteenth century. It seems the Islamic scourge is with the world again. Does that mean our churches are apostate? Many of them are! Therefore, if our people would repent and turn back to the Bible, we would be delivered from the Islamic scourge. How many politicians know this, or believe this? Instead they come up with all sorts of other ideas that do not work. Attempts at peace will not work. Making war will not work. Following Jesus Christ and his laws will work! The answer is really simple.
I expect the problems to get worse in the next ten years in the United States and other Israel nations. Things have to get so bad that we will finally call on God for help. This is prophesied in Ezekiel 36:37: “Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.” This speaks of the rebuilding of Israel in the Kingdom Age. We will ask God to take over, acknowledging that we need him. He will answer us by descending from heaven to set up his Kingdom. Right now the Middle East is in a violent rage. Back home, gun sales in the United States are sky rocketing. People are living in fear. The next president will not be able to solve these problems. The only answer is Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.
Pray for the nation. Confess your sins and the sins of your nation to God and ask for forgiveness like Daniel did. The Kingdom Age is coming soon. The Lord will reward those who stand with him in the evil time. When things look darkest, we are to look up, for our redemption draws nigh. Don’t give up believing. “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8. God will never desert America. “For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.” Psalm 94:14-15.
