The Blood of Christ
God, the Eternal Spirit, is literally the Father of Jesus. Concerning man, his conception and birth, we know that the “mother” furnishes the ovum or egg, and the “father” provides the sperm or seed.
The union of ovum and sperm produces an individual, personal life. This life is the product of mother and father, as partners in the sacred work of creation. This is a biological fact.
In the case of Jesus, Mary furnished the ovum, and Almighty God the Eternal Spirit provided the sperm or life impulse, Speaking biologically and literally Jesus could say of Mary, “My mother” .. , and of God, “My Father.”
Jesus is the product of the union of the seed of Abraham in Mary with the seed of God. He is God and man. God the Son of man, and Jesus the Man begotten of God. (Heb. 2:16 and Luke 1:34-35.)
The science of Genetics teaches that the BLOOD comes from the father, not the mother. Jesus’ BLOOD or LIFE STREAM is from God His Father. This is why the BLOOD of JESUS can cleanse you from all sin; it is THE LIFE OF GOD.
In Jesus the LIFE of God became clothed with sinful human flesh through Mary. During HIS walk in the flesh He kept the law perfectly, and so WAS WITHOUT SIN. Because HIS LIFE was in THE SPIRIT and not the flesh, the death of that flesh upon the cross could not overcome Him, but by the Spirit God raised and glorified that same flesh.
This is why Paul was able to write: “‘… if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS SPIRIT that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11).
