What Is Next for The U.K.?
I watched the results on the vote to separate from the European Union with great interest, which turned to thanksgiving to God. It seemed that the U.K. had made the first step in regaining their identity. I am sure the Lord has a plan for that country and for all of the Israel nations. He is moving the nations of the world in such a way that the end will be the glorification of Jesus Christ throughout the earth. The Kingdom Age is not far off. The question now is: What should the U.K. do to ensure their greatness?
The day after the vote to separate, the critics were out in full force throughout the world predicting poverty and recession for the British people. It seems that most of the world thought they were fools and had made the wrong choice. It was reported on a Canadian news site that many British people who had voted to stay with Europe had invented a “Plan two” which they had put on social media. “Plan two” is: Move to Canada! This is not unusual for Canada. Many people have settled in Canada because they do not like the United States. It would not surprise me if some people come to Canada because they do not like the United Kingdom.
For those who wish to stay in the United Kingdom, the challenge is how to make this political move a success and prove the critics wrong. I believe the answer lies with the Christian congregations in the U.K. They are the heart of the nation, and if the heart is strong, the whole body will be strong. The Christians throughout the nation need to pray every day for the nation. The church leaders throughout the nation need to preach and teach from the Bible. If they depart from the Bible and start preaching other doctrines, they will kill the spirit of the nation and spiritual death will bring turmoil and despair throughout the nation. The Christian congregations are the salt that makes the nation acceptable to God. “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” Matthew 5:13. God will surely bless nations that have Bible believing congregations praying for them. This admonition is for all of us in whatever nation the Lord has placed us. We should frequently pray for our governments. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” I Timothy 2:1-2.
I believe the Lord is preparing nations for the last great war that will shake the earth before He returns to set up His kingdom. He is especially preparing the Joseph nations. The Joseph nations are the United States and the British Commonwealth nations. This is not to say that all Israelites within those countries are from that tribe, but that the tribe of Joseph is the largest and most influential tribe in those countries. A prophecy for the tribe of Joseph was, “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)” Genesis 49:22-24. I understand that in British Israel circles there is an interpretation of this verse that involves the stone of destiny, but I believe the verse is about Jesus Christ, the shepherd, the stone of Israel, who would come forth from the mighty God of Jacob (He would be the Son of God), and the prophecy is that the tribe of Joseph would embrace Him as Lord. That is where the strength of the U.K. and other Joseph nations has to come from, from following Jesus Christ and obeying his laws.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Psalm 33: 12. The judgement of the nations is approaching, and all of us must pray for our families, our churches, and our nations as the countdown to the Kingdom Age continues.
