The Kingdom of God – What Will it be Like?

The Kingdom of God will be entirely different from this present world. We can enumerate some of the blessings as follows:

MONEY. Money power will be broken forever. Money will cease to be our master, and now become our servant instead. There will be a change of heart in man, bringing in love instead of greed, as we read in Ezekiel 36:26, “A new heart also will I give you, and a new Spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh”. That will be a big change for our business world!

PEACE. There will be no more war in the Kingdom of God as we read in Isaiah 2:4, “And they shall beat their swords (tanks) into plowshares, and their spears (rockets) into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more”. What a big saving that will be on the armaments bill!

HEALTH. Sickness and disease will pass away, as we follow the principles of the Kingdom of God, as is promised in Deuteronomy 7:15, “And the Lord will take away from you all sickness”. That will be a big saving in modern hospital expenses, Medicare, and so on!

GOVERNMENT. The Kingdom of God is not a Democracy, it will be a Theocracy, which means that it is ruled by God, with righteous laws and justice. That is why we read, “The government shall be upon His shoulder”. All will have confidence in His government.

THE CHURCH. The Church, made up of departed saints, and the translated believers of all denominations, will reign over the Kingdom. That is why we read of Believers, “He who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron”. There will be no fear in such a Kingdom.

The coming in of the Kingdom of God on earth is the greatest ray of hope in a confused world. People can now pray with real meaning, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth”. It brings to us a breath from heaven.
