“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Psa. 27:14).
He will come to save us as He saved the disciples
In these times of great distress among the nations and the world in upheaval we must remember to “Wait on the Lord”.
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” (Matt. 24:6).
As we see the end of this age drawing near we tend to be impatient and want the Lord to return right now. We must remember though, that God has His timetable for events to happen and we must accept this and continue to do His work. God is in control and as events unfold we will see His hand at work. He will give us the courage to go on. This is a time for us to draw closer to Him spiritually. We must pray constantly and search the Scriptures continually for His encouragement and instruction. God does not want us to be afraid or impatient. He wants to use us to do His work and we are to wait for Him to do His.
We have such hope when we, who know Jesus Christ, put our trust in Him. He is a place of safety in a troubled world. Actually He is the only place that is safe. He is our solid Rock. When we know this and believe it the cares of the world do not seem quite so daunting because we know where we can put our trust.
