Step 1. Add a Book or DVD
We hope this article will help guide you through the process of shopping at our bookstore and to take away any confusion with the checkout process.
When you have found the book / DVD you would like to purchase, simply click the 'Add to Bag' button next to the image of the product. You will notice that the number on the bag graphic will change to correspond with the quantity of items you have added.
From here, you can continue to shop and add different products to the bag or change quantities.
Step 2. Go to Checkout
Once you've finished shopping, click on the 'Go to Checkout' link and check the items listed in your bag.
You can remove items from your bag by rolling over the items with your mouse - when you do this a small 'x' appear in the top right - clicking on this will remove the item from your bag.
If you want to change the quantities of an item, simply change the number in the 'Qty' box and this will instantly change the amount for that item.
Don't worry about the estimated shipping message that appears as this is something you set up in the next step.
Step 3. Enter your shipping address
In the next step you need to enter your shipping / contact details - simply enter the required information into the form provided. If you have an account with ACP's The Bookstore, then in this step you can click on the 'Sign in to use the address book' button and sign into your account and select an address from the ones you have save to your account.
If you plan to place a phone order and not pay online, then it's imperative that you enter a valid telephone number which we can use to contact you to deal with the payment for your order.
Step 4. Choose the Shipping Option
If you want to pickup your order from our Bookstore in person, you can select 'Local Pickup' and this means that no shipping costs will be applied to your order. Call us at 604.524.1170 to arrange a date and time to pickup your order.

If your order is under $25.00, choose the Under $25 option, if your order is over $25.00, choose the Over $25 option.
Step 5. Choose a Payment Method
You can either choose to pay online with your Credit / Debit card or via your PayPal account by choosing the first option here. Alternatively you can select 'Phone Order' and this means that once your order has been place, we will get a confirmation email containing your contact details and we will call you at the earliest convenient time we can in order to deal with payment for your order. We can arrange for you to send us a cheque.
Step 6. Enter your Email Address
It's very important for you to enter a valid email address when placing your order. This email address is used to send you an order confirmation as well as allowing us to contact you easily and quickly in case there is a problem or delay with your order. If you don't add an email address you won't be able to continue to the next step of the check out process and the email box will get highlighted in red and prompt you to enter your email address:
At this step, if you have an account with ACP's The Bookstore, you have the option to sign in to you account. You also have the option to register by entering a password into the boxes provided. Please be aware that this is totally optional and not required for you to complete your order. Only register if you want to open an account with ACP's The Bookstore. Step 7. Enter your Billing Address
Next you have to add your billing address. This must match the records your credit card company has. If this is the same as your shipping address then you can click within the small checkbox and the system will use your shipping address for billing also. If your billing address is different, then please enter the address in the form provided.
Step 8. Almost Done
Clicking 'Continue' takes you to the PayPal website and here you have a few options with regards to paying for your order. You can either choose to pay with your Credit / Debit card or Bank Account, or if you have a PayPal account, you can log into this and pay via PayPal.
Once you have paid for your order you will be taken to a confirmation screen that will show all the details of your order - it is advisable that you print this page for your own records and we provide you with a handy link in order to do this.
If you chose to complete your order without payment and selected 'Phone Order' in step 5 you will be taken to this confirmation screen straight away. Again it is advisable to print a copy of this confirmation for your records. With regards to phone orders, please be patient as we are not in the office every day and so may not be able to process your order immediately. We will call you at the earliest convenient time and deal with payment for your order over the telephone.
