In a recently uncovered archive article, an interesting news item from a scientific source, shows that the earth really has corners. The Bible mentions the four corners of the earth in Isaiah 11:12, "And, He shall set up an ensign for the nations and shall gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the Earth."

Skeptics and agnostics have in past times ridiculed this phrase, and again Christians have taken the statement metaphorically, which a lot of Scripture is. The report says: "Satellite scientists reported they have found that four corners of the earth really exist. You can journey to them, but you can't see them with the naked eye. They were discovered by experimental satellites measuring the pull of gravity, scientists of the John Hopkins University applied physics laboratory reported."

The corners are sort of giant bulges on the earth's surface each stretching over several thousand miles. Mountains on the bulges are not considered because they are merely pinpoints on the gravitational variations.

One high point centres over Ireland in the Northern hemisphere, going north towards the pole. Another runs north from New Guinea to Japan . The third is south of the African continent extending down to Antarctica, whilst the fourth extends southward from a point west of Peru in the Pacific Ocean . Satellite surroundings reveal that at the centre of these high spots or corners, the pull of gravity is greater than is expected for the latitude, enough to pull the satellite downward a few hundred feet.
